Robin bit back the angry response to what she said, going for sarcastic instead. "Nice to see you trust me so much, Marian."
He sighed, looking at the ring on her hand. "This doesn't have to change things, you know. Not unless you want it to."

"I was only teasing, Robin. I really trust you, you know that."
She followed his gaze to the ring, remembering what she had said. If she knew they would be married, she may look at this situation differently. Looking back up at him, she waited a moment before speaking.
"Do you want it to change?"

"You're right, I know you do." He felt even more sure about her trust now that she had accepted his proposal.
"I do not expect things to change, Marian, so don't think that they have to." He winked, his smile cheeky. "Though perhaps we should just wait and see."

Marian laughed at his cheeky smile, allowing her hands to run up to the nape of his neck, her own smile mirroring his. Kissing him gently, she pulled back with a smirk.
"Depends how nice to me you are."

Robin's smirk grew at what she said.
"Well, then I will just have to be very nice to you, won't I?"
Placing his hands on either side of his face, he stroked his thumbs across her cheeks, smiling at her. "It's so incredible, to think that after everything we've been through, we've finally made it to this point."

"Exceptionally nice to me."
She smiled up at him when he cupped her cheek, enjoying the feeling he was giving her. She always liked it when he cupped her face, his thumbs always ran across her skin so gently, it was hard believing exactly what he usually used his hands for. Fighting mostly.
"I always knew we would get here."

"I'll do my best, though I can't make any promises, my love."
He raised a brow at her smile, wondering where her thoughts were taking her, continuing the motion of his thumbs. He loved her skin, it was so soft, so smooth. It made such a contrast to the callused skin of his hands, caused by the constant use of his bow.

"Your best is all I can ask for."
Her eyes fluttered shut as his thumbs continued to caress her cheeks. The contrast between their skin was so large. The difference in the texture, how soft hers was compared to his roughened skin.
"Do you want to know a secret?"

Robin looked at her curiously. A secret? Well, he certainly wouldn't let that pass him by.
"A secret? I am intrigued. What secret do you have, Marian?" his hands had stilled, but he did not move them from her face, unwilling to end the moment.

"When we were younger, one of my favourite things about you was your hands. Just...I always felt so safe with your hand in mine or your arm around me. Seeing the difference in size when we were younger."
She felt her cheeks warm as she felt embarassed, but knew she had to tell him now. After all, she had told him she had a secret to tel him and he would not let that pass.

"My hands? Really?" Robin pulled one away from her face, looking at the back before turning it over to glance at his palm briefly before dropping it to his side.
"What a funny thing. I don't like them much." Leaning forward, he kissed her forehead. "Do you know what I like?" He pressed another kiss to the skin directly above her eye. "Your skin. So soft." He pressed a kiss to her cheek. "So perfect."

Marian laughed when he dropped his hand to his side, and she quickly reached out for it, putting their hands palm to palm. She liked seeing this, seeing the difference in length and how slim her fingers were compared to the hands of battle he had.
"I think they are perfect."
She looked at him in curiousity as he questioned her, her eyes fluttering closed when his lips touched her skin. Each word he said made her smile wider, her eyes flickering open when he stopped.
"Really?"

Robin laughed when she placed their palms together. Such a contrast. He shook his head, denying her words. "They're just hands, Marian." Hands that for many reasons, he was not at all proud of.
He smiled tenderly at her when she grinned wider and wider, brushing another kiss to the smooth skin of her cheek. "Yes. Really really."

"You do not realise, do you? They show what you have been through, and they were always there to guide me when I was lost as a child. Your hands are capable of so much."
She found her grin getting wider when he kissed her cheek again. She did not think that her smile could get any bigger but she was proven wrong.
"I am glad you think so."

Robin held his hands, palm up in front of him. "You're right. They are capable of a lot." Though it was clear Marian was thinking of different things to him.
"I am glad that you are...glad that I think so?" He laughed, pulling her into a hug. "You'll never be anything but beautiful to me, Marian."
