He could not help but laugh when she agreed about his fellow outlaw. "Poor Much, soon he will begin worrying about that, too. That he is worrying too much. Then where will we be?"
Robin frowned at her words, a false look of hurt on his face. "You think I need your protection from Gisborne, Marian?"

"Poor Much, as if he doesn't have enough to worry about."
Marian grinned at the look of hurt on his face, knowing it was only in a teasing manner. Nodding, she squeezed his hand, playing with his fingers a little.
"I do think you need my protection."

Robin smiled. "And to think, it has only gotten worse since I released him from his service to me. I had hoped that would help. Alas, I was mistaken."
Laughing when she squeezed his hand, Robin poked her playfully in the side. "Oh you do, do you? And how, pray tell, have I managed to escape his evil clutches on so many occasions without your great assistance, if that is the case?"

Marian giggled when he poked at her side, stepping to the side and away from him. He knew fine well she was ticklish and had no doubt that he had done so on purpose.
"Sheer luck, that is all Robin," she said as she stepped back, trying to pull her hand from his grasp.
She knew that he could protect himself, but that did not stop her hoping that she could protect him in some form or other.

Robin laughed when she tried to pull away, holding tighter to her hand and pulling her back to him, unable to resist poking her in the side again, delighting in her reaction.
"Luck? Is that what it was? And here I thought all this time that it was skill. Thankyou for enlightening me, Marian."

Marian squealed when he pulled her closer, poking her in the side again. She struggled a little against his hold, trying desperately to make him let her go.
"You have no skill, Robin. Just luck." she said cheekily, grining up at him.

Robin pulled her back against him, mercilessly tickling her sides.
"Oh? I have no skill, do I? Only luck?" He continued to attack her with his long fingers, not giving her any time to recover.

Marian burst out laughing, struggling against him. pushing him as hard as she could, she tried desperately hard to loosen his grip on her. She really did feel like a teenager again doing this, something the done often as children. Teasing and annoying each other.
"Robin!"

Robin continued his onslaught for a little while longer, not giving her a chance to pull from his grasp.
Finally he ceased the movements of his fingers, but did not release her from his grasp.
"Yes my love? Is there something you wanted?"

Marian was sure she was flushed red, her breathing heavy. He kept his hold on her, and for some reason she didn't struggle. She just stood there, trying to calm her breath, eyes on Robin.
"Please don't do that," she said through deep breaths, though she could not stop the grin on her face.

Laughing, Robin stepped back, releasing his hold on her. "Very well, Marian. If that is what you want."
He could not take his eyes off her. Her skin was flushed red, her hair fell messily in her face, and her dress was already covered in dirt from her short time in the forest.
Robin thought he had never seen her look more beautiful than she did at this moment.

Marian grinned when he released her, her breath slowly getting back to normal. She could feel his stare on her, and she glanced up at him, her face flushing more when she realised he was just looking at her. She glanced down, checking herself over incase there was something wrong, before looking back at him.
"What?"
She felt slightly embarrassed, thinking that there was something and she wasn't sure what. Clearing her throat, she looked at Robin, waiting for an answer.

Robin considered making light of her question with a joke. In fact, one very nearly left his mouth.
Seeing the self conscious look that Marian now had, however, he found himself reluctant to fall back on old habits, tempting though it was.
Instead he settled on giving her a smile and the simplest of statements. She could think what she wanted.
"You are beautiful, Marian."

Marian looked to the ground at his compliment, instantly embarrassed by the situation. She never knew how to take compliments, often she would hide away and accept the compliment for the sake of being polite. But somehow, with Robin being the one to compliment her in such a way it left her more then confused on whether he was telling the truth or not.
"Robin I'm a mess," she stated, glancing down at her dress.

Robin followed her eyes with his, also looking down at the dress.
"Well, I rather happen to like it." He laughed, before looking back to her face.
"You look...relaxed, Marian. Happy. I have not seen you looking like that in a while. It suits you."
Apparently realising how honest and sincere he was being, Robin laughed. "Do not pretend you do not know how gorgeous you are, Marian. It is no doubt your secret weapon."
