Will had been up late the night before doing work around the camp, repairing a piece here and a piece there. He had been hoping to catch up on his sleep early in the morning, but he kept hearing a commotion that had to be just outside the camp. "Well .... I'd better get up and see what this is all about," he said sulkily.
Once he got outside the camp he understood what was causing the commotion .... after standing there speechless for several moments. Robin and Marian were chasing each other in some kind of kissing game, which looked at first like some sort of strange of playing Tag. At first Will tried to be mad, but after several moments he started giggling. "Are you two adults or what ... you know some people are trying to sleep around here. Besides .... isn't she overdue for getting back to the castle?," he motioned at Marian. Suddenly, though, Will realized that they were now having a serious discussion about whether Marian should stay. Will was now worried that he had butted into a private conversation. "My apologies, Robin and Marian," and Will started to turn back to camp.

Robin still refused to meet Marian's eyes as he spoke.
"You know I would help you, Marian. I would never abandon your father to that fate. How could you think that I would just..." He was getting mad again, and he did not wish this to dissolve into another argument, but he could not understand her sudden change in mood.
Will's sudden arrival, and the humour in his words, forced a wry chuckle from Robin as he finished repacking the sack of food. "No games, Will. Marian finds herself...indecisive tonight, is all."

Marian glanced at Will, before looking back at Robin. Groaning she stepped closer to him, trying to show that she was being truthful. Of course, he was just being stubborn.
"Robin I want to stay here."
Plain an simple, it was the only way to tell him. He was choosing to hear what he wanted to, making it seem that she was the one being awful in this situation.
"But if you don't wish me here, then fine."

At Marian's words, Robin's attention moved from will back to her, and he dropped all pretenses of not listening to what she had to say. Rising to his feet, abandoning the food, he gazed at her calmly.
"After all this, are you really questioning whether or not I want you here, Marian? You are the one who can not make up her mind. You are the one who does not seem able to decide what you want. The rich noble and his lavish gifts, or the poor outlaw, and his camp with no food."
Running his hands through his hair, Robin ignored how harsh he knew his words were. He was tired, frustrated, and most importantly confused, feeling as though the situation was not at all in his control. A feeling he was not at all comfortable with.

"Do you honestly think there is any competition there? Do you think I am that shallow to choose a man who has riches but I do not want to be with over the outlaw who is all I want?"
Marian could feel herself getting angrier by the minute. She thought he'd be happy about her choice, that he would want her to stay more than question her reasons. Stepping forward, closer and closer, she kept her eyes on his.
"Robin for so long I've been denying my heart what it truly wants. I want to be with you, be it in your camp or when King Richard returns, wherever you choose to go."

Robin took a step back as she took one towards him. Her words, so honest, so real, threw him. She could stand there and act as if Gisborne should not make him jealous, even whilst she had so readily spoken of his qualities. Then the other part of what she had said sunk in, and a smug grin broke out on his face, all anger forgotten.
"I am all you want?"

Marian rolled her eyes at the grin on his face. Of course, it was great to realise that he did want her there, he was just worried. Laughing, she looked down at the ground. Technically, he'd won. Something she knew he would not give up on for a very long time.
"Yes, you are."
It was all she could say, but she couldn't look at him. Knowing he would have that smug look on his face that she gave in, finally gave him what he wanted. And she knew it wouldn't be gone for a very long time.

Grinning in delight, Robin moved back to stand in front of her. Oh, this was just far too much fun. Placing a finger underneath her chin, he raised her head so their eyes met.
"There now. Was that so hard to admit?"
He gave her what he knew she found his most maddening grin. Not that it was hard. He could not be more delighted if the King had strode into his camp right that very moment.

Marian saw his feet getting closer, then felt his finger touch her chin lightly. She didn't resist him, but wished she did when she saw that smile on his face. He was going to be unbearable from now on. Especially now she had admitted that.
"A little bit." she said in response to his question, not wanting to let him win completely.
And there was the grin. The grin that showed her just how out of control he was going to get just by her admitting that one small thing. It was too late to take it back now.

Robin was caught somewhere between delight and imagining himself waking up from what could so easily be a dream.
"Do not worry, love. I will not hold it against you." He tried to compose himself and keep a straight face, but the grin just came right back, and he was once again smirking cheekily. If he ever had a reason to be smug, this was it.
"Well, perhaps for a short while?" He pulled her against him, wrapping his arms around her, holding her tightly. "So I am all you want, you will stay with me, here, and tomorrow the villagers will be fed. A successful evening, I'd say." Again, he grinned in delight.

Marian laughed a little at his words, knowing that he would hold it against her for some time. She wrapped her arms around him tightly as he spoke, nodding in agreement. She knew how happy he was at the moment, she felt the same. She was a little worried, they had to get her father to safety as soon as possible.
"And take my father else where as soon as we can?"
That was the only thought making her not as happy as Robin. Yes she was glad that she was staying here with him, but she could not fully celebrate until her father was out of harms way, and somewhere she could check on him as often as she could.

Robin nodded, his hands still wrapped around her. He had had his fun, he decided it was time to reassure her.
"Tomorrow, Marian. I promise. We will go to the castle as soon as we are safely able to do so, and collect your father. And perhaps some more clothes for you whilst we are there? I am sure you wish to have a wider selection whilst you are here?" He had once again gone from being serious to joking in almost the same breath. He could not help it. His Marian was with him. For good.

Marian's worries were calmed slightly when he said not to worry about her father. She trusted Robin to do all he could to look after her father, to take care of him. They both trusted Robin to take care of him. Of course, she would still worry up until her father was safe, but she could worry less.
"Yes, I think that is a better idea. I do not think this dress is suited for the forest."
She hadn't really thought about that, the neccessities she'd need for the forest, like more clothing. After all, her dresses would tear far too easily if caught on any loose branches in the forest.

He looked down at her dress, eyes twinkling as she spoke.
"Not that I am complaining about this particular dress. It is very becoming, Marian." With a very suggestive smirk, he moved on.
"Weapons, too. Perhaps some blankets...we always seem short of blankets. Or, we could share, of course." He winked when he said this last bit, to show he was teasing. He did not much look forward to being hit.
"I wonder what Much will say, with another mouth to feed. Do you like squirrel, Marian? Never mind, you will soon acquire a taste for it." He laughed at this, and yet there was lots to think about. Not all of it a joke. She would be giving up many luxuries to join him here.

Even though she knew he was joking, Marian blushed at his suggestive tone. She felt slightly self concious about those sort of words, the way they were said and with that particular look in his eye. Though she knew not to take him seriously, knowing that he respected her.
She was nodding in agreement to his comment about the weapons, only to roll her eyes when he said they could share blankets. Yes, she wanted to stay close to Robin, but she refused to be taken in like that. She had a line she would not cross.
"Weapons and blankets sound like good ideas," she spoke quickly, trying to stop him before his suggestions got out of hand.
Marian knew when she agreed to stay with him that all those luxuries she once had would be gone. But she also knew that if she was with Robin, she could deal with that.
"I'm sure I will after some time."
