Amelia finished cleaning the kitchen and turned to look at her mother. "Have you finished eating?" She asked her mother.
"Yes, dear" Alina said. Amelia took her bowl and washed it.
"Amelia .... I'm finished ..... before I go I'd like you to look and see if you're satisfied with the result."
Amelia heard this and walked outside. She saw Will was stood back on the ground.
"I'll go and have a look" She said as she climbed the ladder. She looked at the roof. It was excellently done and she was extremely happy. She climbed back down. "It's great. Thank you." She said with a smile. "If you need anything just ask"

Will actually thought that this roof repair was one of the best he had done. He was even willing to wager that it was better than the original roof that surrounded it.
Amelia climbed the ladder and inspected it closely. Will was worried whether it would meet her expectations for a moment, but she appeared to be quite pleased as well.
"It's great. Thank you. If you need anything just ask"
Will shook his head. "No, it was a pleasure for me to do and you are quite welcome. You'd better be careful with such an open-ended promise, especially to an outlaw," he smiled with a slight tinge of red on his face.

Amelia saw the hint of red in Will's face and before she knew it her own face was going slightly red Oswell.
"It's no problem. If you and your outlaw friends need help i will gladly help. It is the least i could do" She said with a smile.

"It's no problem. If you and your outlaw friends need help I will gladly help. It is the least I could do"
He had not known her long, but strangely it seemed what she thought of him was very important to him. He suddenly realized that he had repaired the roof more for her than for her family or for Locksley. He could swear, also, that she had taken an interest in him. The blush on her face seemed to indicate it, even though he was not aware of the similar effect on his.
"Doing this work was a pleasure to do for you .... and your family. We,as outlaws, always try to do what we can to help. Its really why we are outlaws. Rest assured, if I think you can help, I will come to you. I don't know why, exactly, but its clear to me that you are someone I can trust .... we can trust. Likewise, I'll be checking in regularly, to see what I can do," and he began to unknowingly blush. As he looked down, he thought he was being silly, since she was likely to be already seeing someone in village. "I guess I should be going .... that way I could be back to camp before nightfall I suppose."

Alina stood up. "Nonsense. You can stay here and leave in the morning" She said. "After everything you have done for us it is the least we can do"
Amelia felt herself blush.
"My husband should be fine with this" Alina continued. "You can sleep in my son's room since he will be staying with a friend tonight"

Will had just started backing toward the door .... he had never been very good at good-byes .... and it was no different in this case. He wasn't really expecting anything , when Amelia's mother made a sudden offer:
".... you can stay here and leave in the morning .... After everything you have done for us it is the least we can do"
He saw Amelia get red in the face suddenly, "It is really not necessary .... I've always felt that things like this are the neighborly thing to do. However, if you insist, I would never want to insult an honest offer of hospitality. Are you sure that your husband will not mind? Having an outlaw in the house is often not the safest or wisest course to take, you know." Will did his best not to look at Amelia, fearing his face would break out in red as well.

Alina smiled. "He would not mind at all"
Amelia looked at Will who was looking at the floor. She was unsure of what to do or say. Instead she just blushed even more and her mother noticed, she smiled at this.
"Amelia" Alina asked.
Amelia looked at her mother.
"Would you go and get some fire wood?" Alina asked.
"Yes, mother" Amelia said before walking outside. She went around the side of the house and looked for the Axe.

Will relaxed slightly. As an outlaw he was always suspicious of the unknown and what was around the next corner. So whenshe indicated that he would be all right with it, it was a relief.
Will was really unsure what his next move or word should be .... he was on very unfamiliar territory. So when the suggestion of wood was made to Amelia, almost as a natural reflex, he asked, "Would she need any help with that?" After all, as a woodsman he already had a couple of axes at the ready. At least as a line of work, he thought, that would give him something to do, and maybe keep him out of trouble.

Alina looked at Will and smiled "I am sure she will need help"
Amelia found the Axe and began to chop the wood. She could not stop thinking about Will. He was kind and helpful. They had only known each other for two days but she felt like she could completely trust him, she had never felt like that about a man before.
"Get a grip, Amelia" She said as she lifted a piece of wood onto the block. "He probably already has someone" She raised the Axe and chopped the wood in half, it hit the floor, she picked up another piece and put it on the block.

Will smiled back at Alina, nodded his head in agreement, and hurried outside, glad for the opportunity to be doing something. He just hated sitting around and doing nothing, unless he was out in the Forest, appreciating the works of Nature. He stopped by his sack of tools and took out the 2 instruments that weren't only tools, but his weapons of warfare as well, his Big Chopper and his Little Chopper.
He found her quickly around the side of the house, quite expertly chopping blocks of wood with her axe, he thought. She would do well in the Forest he thought. "There you are .... I didn't think that you would be far away and thought you might need some assistance. I can see, though, that you have quite good skill with an axe, so I'm not sure how much help you really need."
Still, Will took the still relatively large pieces that she had already cut, and using the Little Chopper, he cut them into thinner lengths that could be more easily carried and handled. He quickly went through the pieces that she had already cut like a knife going through butter. "If you need or want me to I could take on those larger pieces there with the Big Chopper there, and make short work of them," he said as he started unfastening his shirt in preparation for that larger job. Forgive me for asking, but I assume that your beau works with the other men in your family, and will return with them for supper, eh?"

"I don't have a man in my life" She said as she picked up the cut pieces.

As soon as she indicated that it would be something that she wanted Will finished taking off his shirt, picked the Big Chopper up off the ground and began splitting them into smaller pieces. The work was something that Will liked, because it allowed him to get into a rhythm, and once you got going the work moved right along.
"Really .... I find that quite surprising. I would have thought there would have been a lot of interest in you in the village. Or is it just that a man is not something your intersted in right now?," he asked.
Quickly he finished up work on the big pieces, propped the axe up against the house, and threw on his shirt, and began to fasten it back together. "Where do you want all this would hauled to, the inside, or do you want some of the bigger pieces stacked out here?," he inquired.

Amelia smiled at this "I am interested in men and there have been a few men interested in me but all they care about is the physical side. I want some one who i can talk too, who i can share my feelings as well as my body" She picked up some more of the chopped pieces. "I would like the wood to be taken into the house and put on the diminishing pile."

Will had felt a little bit contradictory about this. Sometimes he had felt that she was interested in hi and even had seemed to blush about it, and other times she had held herself quite separate.
"I am interested in men and there have been a few men interested in me but all they care about is the physical side. I want some one who i can talk too, who I can share my feelings as well as my body .... I would like the wood to be taken into the house and put on the diminishing pile."
Will thought that explained that. She had had a lot of physical interest, but none that showed they wanted to make much of a commitment. Will doubted whether an outlaw' life was one that would give her what she wanted and he doubted whether she would want to wait until he wasn't. It all would depend on what she wanted and any discussion of it would have to wait until they could be alone again, which was not likely to happen with her family around.
It took 3 trips to completely transport all of the wood to its proper place. "That's the last of it," he announced, "and Amelia, I entirely understand and appreciate your point of view on what you were talking about." Will went outside and sat down, took out one of short knives and began whittling on a piece of wood that he carried with him. He figured that he would just be in the way while dinner was being prepared so he decided to stay out of the women's way.

Amelia watched Will walk outside, she couldn't help but feel happy when he as around. Amelia and Alina moved around the kitchen making dinner for when her father comes home. Amelia seemed a little distracted and Alina seemed to notice.
"Are you alright, dear?" Alina asked.
"I'm fine, mother" Amelia answered with a smile.
Within ten minutes the dinner was cooking away and Amelia went outside to find Will. She saw him sat down and whittling a piece of wood.
"Hey" Amelia said.
