It was one of those drizzly days. The type where there is always rain but you can’t quite see it. Anya liked rain it brought out every thing that was good in the forest but drizzle was different. It was trick rain. Anya had woken that morning thinking it was just an over cast day and had left the camp with out a shawl or cape. One step out of the cover of the forest and she was covered in tiny speaks of icy drizzle. Well that cast a grey shadow over her day.
Anya had not left the camp alone or with out purpose. The sweating sickness had come to Knighton and with every one else tied up in what ever they where tied up in it was left to Anya and Djaq to bring food and medicine to the people. The two of them where both petite woman but they carried one large sack each filled with previsions. Of course Robin had found extra food for the Knighton peasants and Anya could only assume that was to win Marians favour. It seemed like half his time was spent trying to steal her attention and the other half stealing the nobility’s wealth.
The town on Knighton lay conveniently not far from the boundaries of Sherwood so the two did not have to walk long before Knighton was in there sights.
“Who knew food could be so heavy,” Anya whined as she yanked the sack up so it would not drag. She had suddenly begun to appreciate horses and wagons a lot more.
