height , 5 ft 2 inches

distinguishing features , What could be more distinguishing than a saracen girl in amongst English outlaws? Djaq's dark skin and almond eyes are her distinguishing feature. Her dark eyes can pierce the hardest armour, and they shine with the intellegance inherited from her surgeon father and brother. While not a distinguishable feature, her quick wit is markable and her accent gives away her heritage in a heartbeat. Unfortunatly, or fortunatly, there could not be a more noticable outlaw.
personal style , Djaq's personal style is simple, clothes made from the forest in the colour of the earth. She rarely changes clothes and so can be seen in the same outfit from one day to the next, unless a mission requests her to dress differently. Preferring her disguise of a boy, Djaq is not seen wearing a dress, rather the loose shirt and trousers allowing maximum movement in the forest.

likes , Knowledge, Her home, Will, Food, helping the poor and sick, the rest of the outlaw gang, Playing pranks on Much, her family, the colour blue, not wearing a dress.
dislikes , The Sheriff and his regime, the effect of the crusades on her home, 'Crude' English treatments, general ignorance, revenge attempts, unlogical reasoning, fights amoung her friends, wearing a dress, people sharing her secrets, being viewed as weaker because she is a girl.
strengths , Her strengths include her intellegence, which often comes in useful to the outlaws, her knowledge of herbs and medicen, her useful disguise as a boy, Her willingness and loyalty
weaknesses , Djaq can be stubborn, which can sometimes be a strength but more often than not, a weakness. She is also unwilling for people to see her as weak, or as a girl, which can be to her disadvantage. Another weakness is her grasp of the English Language, which can hinder progress on some occasions.
fears , Of never returning to her homeland, of loosing those that she holds close, and spiders.
overall personality , The small Saracen's personality does not match her stance. While she can appear shy and timid at first glance, this little fireball soon makes sure that you know of her arrival. Her first meeting with the outlaws involved a trick played on Much, a tradition that the little outlaw has continued. A prisoner of war, Djaq had to be strong to survive, a strength that has not faded since being rescued by Robin and his gang.
Not one to cross, Djaq does have a temper, although she is quick to cool. She also has an internal conflict of what is the best for science, and what is the best for mankind, as when the decision to destroy the black powder formula is made, she alone wants to save it. And she has shown a sneaky side to her personality, resucing the formula before it could burn to a crisp.

history , Ajit Baba, a young doctor, travelling across Arabia after completing his training, where he met a young woman, Mariam. The young woman was the daughter of a very important man, and she was betrothed to a man of similar standing from a long way away. As usual in these tails, Ajit and Mariam fell in love. They ran away from the town in the middle of the night, and settled in Damascus. Here, Ajit was able to establish himself as a respected doctor, so that he could provide for Mariam and their new born twins, Djaq and Saffiya.
Djaq was the quieter of the two children, his sister Saffiya more inquisitive. It would seem that she would explore the areas of the house, or the field, while he would sit happily and make patterns in the dust, and then the two would chatter happily upon the girls return. The years quickly passed this way for the children, while outside their village the skys darkened, and war became imminent. There was talk of men from Europe marching towards them, crusaders they called themselfs, infidels they were called on the streets of Damascus. The children's father took it upon himsef to teach both his children the skillshe knew, and so both brother and sister became adept in medicine and in other arts.
The war came all to soon. The twins were 16 and called to do their part - Djaq to the battle field, Saffiya to the medical tents. And each played their part to the best of their abilities. Each day, Saffiya dreaded that her brother would be the one on the table in front of her, and each day her fear lived to see the next morning. Until, one fateful afternoon, the familiar face of her beloved twin seemed to hover before her eyes. His stomach was ripped cruely open, his body covered in his own blood. That day, Saffiya could not save her brother.
That same day, the crusader's beat back the Saracen forces and swarmed the medical tents, looking for first aid for their own men. The doctors they rounded up and herded out into the bright sunlight.
"What is your name?" One shouted, his sword pressed harshly agaisnt Saffiya's throat. He repeated the question in her language, the words sounding strange coming from him. In one quick moment, Saffiya sealed her fate.
"My name is Djaq."

roleplay sample ,
She couldn't remember how long they had been walking. Chained together - not by chains, but ropes that burnt welts into their wrists - they stumbled on through the hot sun and across the dry earth. They were fed and kept watered, as their captors were under orders not to harm them, yet that did not stop them forcing them to walk miles and miles each day, until they could barely stand. Saffiya had tended to many blisters and cut feet after their captors had allowed them to rest. She also spent time listening to what the English men were saying to each other, their plans for the next day and their plans for getting back to England. She now knew enough to explain to the others what was happening to them.
"We are to be sold" she whispered one night, ten scared faces peering up at her, illuminated by only a few candles. "Sold to a man in England, who wants us to work at the mines there." She frowned. "I expect that we will fetch a lot of money alive, so we don't have to worry about them killing us."
Keeping everyone calm and remaining in control of the small group had kept Saffiya occupied for the journey so far. She had not yet had time to dwell on her brother's death, or her situation, and now, as she gazed out at the people who had become her companions a strange feeling welled up inside her, and she suddenly found herself struggling not to cry. A deep breath escaped her as she struggled to control herself, stubbornly refusing to cry infront of the people who now needed her to be strong.
"You. Dajq!" The man pointed at her and her heart beat faster. They couldnt have discovered that she was not Djaq, could they? Her worst fears playing out in her mind, she stood as the man forced his way to her, grabbed her arm, and forced her out of the tent.
