overall personality , Will Scarlett. Will is not generally a very outspoken man, and if he thinks he doesn't have anything interesting or worthwhile to say, he won't bother saying it. That doesn't mean he's stupid, but he is quite quiet and thoughtful. In turn, this shows him to be rather shy, and instead of being bold and charming, he would stand back from the crowd and seem a bit withdrawn and reserved.
Will can often be a little bit awkward, and sometimes finds it hard knowing the right way to act in certain situations. He doesn't appear the lady's man like Robin, able to flirt and charm easily, however this doesn't mean he's socially inept, as some believe him to be. Will is in fact, fairly empathic, and often finds that he can deal with people better than his friends.
He is clever, and quick to catch onto things, of course, not being an outright genius, but being intelligent and not the fool. He is a skilled Carpenter, and deals well with mechanics of sorts. He is creative and makes use of this when it comes to making plans and such.
Will is levelheaded and is often able to work his way through any situation he finds himself in. He's helpful and will lend a hand to anybody who needs it, of course, so long as they deserve it. But he's not the type to form irrational judgments of others, and if somebody has been given Wills dislike, it is most likely they have earned it in someway or another.
But most importantly, Will is loyal and trustworthy, when you've earned his respect and his trust; there is no doubt that he will never betray you in any way. He would not foolishly allow himself to be killed, but he would certainly help you out of any tricky situations. He's proved himself to be an incredibly useful asset to Robin Hood’s gang, and is always somebody to stay on the good side of. He is one of the worst people to have as your enemy, for, although he believes a great deal in justice, he is not one to show kindness toward another who has wronged him in any way.

history , Will's childhood was a simple one for a peasant. He enjoyed life, and spent much of his days playing with his neighbors, and then his younger brother when he was old enough. When he was old enough to understand it, Will was taught carpentry alongside his brother, by his father. He soon discovered a love and a talent for it, being able to channel his creativity.
However, their life was filled with poverty, and one day, Will's mother died of starvation, having given as much food as possible to her sons to keep them alive instead of her. Will was distraught, but found that he had to help support the family more as he grew older. He had to be the role model too, for his younger brother. It was not his fault, nor Luke's, nor his fathers that their mother died, but the Sherriff. He had raised the taxes, and being poor, the family had had to give more money toward the taxes rather than food.
Over time, Will accepted his mother’s death, and became bitter and angry. He realized it were the Sherriff’s fault for the death of his mother, and so released his anger on him instead. Will took more care for his family, realizing it's preciousness, and fought over his newfound rage. Will had to take over more of the family now that his father was becoming older, and he found it tough. He loved his brother more than anything, and became more protective of him than one normally would.
Eventually, Will realized things were getting desperate, and he still had an unseen fury toward the Sherriff. He made plans, and encouraged his brother to help him steal from others. He felt nothing but anger and bitterness at the time, no guilt, and with the desperate situations, their father encouraged them also, though feared for their safety. However, they were caught, and their father paid for their crimes by loosing a hand. This caused much mores fear, anger and distress in Will. It put more pressure on Will to keep the family alive, and so, he found the burden heavy.
However conditions became worst, and so, Will and Luke were forced to steal again. However, this time they were caught once more, stealing from the Sherriff and his punishment was worst this time. They were sent to the dungeons and then the gallows to await their death. However, Robin saved them both, and the family could've returned to normal. But he found that he'd had enough; he wanted the Sherriff to pay for the hardships he caused on this family, and so, decided that he would join Robin’s gang. He was devastated to leave his father, and his little brother, but he knew that the Sherriff deserved retaliation for what he'd done. He stayed behind in Nottingham whilst his brother and father moved on.
Time passed, and Will worked many plans toward the Sherriff, however, the return of his family caused him distress. His brother asked him to return to the family, but he couldn't. He was doing good here, and he wished to help Robin and the outlaws further. He understood his brother’s pain, but he couldn't leave Robin now. When their father died, Will felt more pain than could be possible, and when his brother told him he wished to stay, Will felt turmoil inside. He did not want his brother in the midst of this, with the Sherriff and their constant plans to uproot him; he wanted his brother to stay safe. Will knew the pain he'd caused in Luke, and he felt pain too, it wasn't that he didn't want him, more that he wanted him to be safe and live a better life. He would've liked Luke to be accepted into the gang, but it wasn't to be.
Will lived on with the outlaws; he enjoyed getting revenge on the Sherriff, and helped out the poor as he would’ve liked to be helped himself. He still carries that hate filled fury toward the Sherriff for the pains he caused, and perhaps he always will. In all truthfulness, Will loves life with the Outlaws. He enjoys the freedom that being one of Robin’s men gives him, but more importantly than that, he loves the justice of what they do. He earned his place in the gang, and has proved himself worthy of their trust, just as they did to him. But more than that, being an outlaw changed him. Will grew into a man, becoming less of the angry, bitter child he used to be, and learning more about justice and the right way to handle things. He’s never been one to be forward, but being an outlaw allowed him to take more hold in his life and in others around them, branch out to help not just himself, but also those he cares about. Will joined the gang with the intention of helping get revenge on the Sherriff; however, he came to love and trust everyone, and when offered the chance to leave, refused. He still had work to do on getting revenge, of course, but he also found that he enjoyed being here, not just needed to be. Will also learnt many things beside his emotions, for one, he learned how to handle weapons, bow and arrow, sword and axe. In turn, he became a great axe man and swordsman and even bowman, though, obviously, he was never the greatest bowman. It did not take him long to pick things up, for he’s a quick thinker, and he found it easy to handle the blades of the sword and axe especially. His creativity and the fact he is a great carpenter, meant that he could work with an Axe the best, and in turn, he learned more and more from his fellows by being able to help more. Will also enjoyed making up new things for the camp, creating new mechanisms to keep it hidden and secret, and to make it easier to live in.

roleplay sample ,
Trees swayed way above the earthy forest floor; their leafy canopy shaded the lone boy from the intense heat of summer. Of course, the occasional beam of light was able to filter its way through the thick wall of emerald above and litter the forest with beautiful golden dapples. A cool breeze lifted the tousled mahogany hair of the old teen as he moved, bringing with it the scents of new flowers and fresh earth. A light smile played on his lips as he walked each stride free and steady, no need to rush. In one hand a bow was held, his arrows of din wood hiden behind his broad back, sword tucked away in the shealth held in place by a belt.
Will was thinking as he walked, about what, many would ask, but he would never tell them. His brother was what he thought about. To tell the truth, he felt guilty about him, leaving him behind all the time and going off with Robin, when he was supposed to the his older brother, the role-model in his life. Sigh escaped his lips and he shook his head, there was not much he could do now but hope that Robin and the other outlaws would allow him to join them. After all, Will had proved to be useful, why not Luke?
The path curved away to the right, and Will followed it, shaking his head and coming out of his thoughts. The camp was silent, and still needed many improvements. Will was creative, and he enjoyed thinking up new ways to improve the secret camp, ways to keep it more secretive than ever and deeply hidden from prying eyes. Now, Will strolled in and glanced about, sky blue optics rested briefly on the empty table and surrounding area's. His ears picked up nothing but forestry silence, and so, realising that the others must be off exploring or something, he approached the table, pulled back a chair, and rested, delving back into his thoughts once more. He felt bad for going off like he had, but he'd needed time to think. Robin understood him, and he was glad of it, Robin knew that Will often needed to take a back seat and think about situations, like this one right now. There had to be a way to include Luke into his life more without upsetting anybody, didn't there?
