Mary let a chuckle escape her lips, "So few are willing to take on that feat. Your ego is quite forboding."
She leaned into his half embrace, knowing she enjoyed his touches too much. Especially for a man who had told her of his true love.
"To have a son like you, I would agree your father must have had great wisdome, to inspire your actions." She grinned at him, trying to push away her mope. "It would seem, that the gray cloud of sadness has decended, may you vanquish it as you will the Matron?"

"Forboding, you say? And to think, I was going for charming and sneaky. Never mind, eh? Can't win them all."
"No, Mary. I think if my Father knew of my actions now he would call me a foolish boy, and tell me to take my head out of the clouds. At least, that is what he used to say when I was caught misbehaving. And that was rather often."
Standing, Robin held out both his hands for her to take. "Would being kidnapped by an outlaw to be taken away into the forest cheer up the lady some?"

"It would be selfish to think you could win them all." She gave him a wink. Speaking with mock shock," You misbehave? Never" She nudged him, laughing.
When he offered his hands, she looked at them for a moment, before reaching out and taking them. "That's an offer that might come once in every lifetime. And though I know accepting would aide your ego's onward invasion, I will sacrifice the rest of Britain." She gave an amused laugh, and pursing her lips. "Don't forget the goose, though."

Laughing, he pulled her to her feet. "Can you get to the goose undetected?" He was shaking his head even as he said the words, for they were truly ridiculous. But he said them in the hopes that they might make her smile.
"Once you have returned, we shall leave the way I entered, and ride off into the sunset together, what do you think?"

Mary rolled her eyes, "Into the sunset, that sounds painful. Is the sun not hot? Even setting? The forest would be so much less painful, I would believe. And the goose, is in easy access to the outside. It is in a barrel, outside the door downstairs."
She rose to her feet, and looked at Robin, looking him over more than she had before. Whomever his lady was, she was certainly lucky. The woman had not only a handsome man, but a charming, witty, kindhearted man.
"You are a good man, Robin." She didn't know what possesed her, but she gently cupped his cheek, and placed a soft kiss on his bristly cheek.

"Taking things a bit to literally are you not, Mary? Never mind. The forest it is. And how convenient that the goose is so easily accessible."
Robin considered her as she looked at him. He did not wish to hurt her, but he worried about her feelings and where they might be leading. He smiled when she kissed his cheek, not wanting to discourage her and yet not knowing how to respond.
"Such kind words. You and Marian must definitely meet. It is rather difficult convincing her of that fact, however hard I try. Come, let us away before we might be detected." He took her hand and pulled her to the window.
"I imagine the clever Rowan Hood can climb easily from windows, so I shall leave you to the task." Hooking his bow over his shoulders so it hung against his back, Robin climbed from the window, jumping to the ground.

Mary blushed, "I do not know what came over me." Her eyes were wide, and embarrased. "I would love to meet, this Marion. She sounds charming, and to be loved by you she must be wonderful."
Mary laughed, "Of course Rowan Hood knows how to climb from a window. She's climbed from windows higher than this building in full. But I? Well, I am just a simple woman." She smirked, following after Robin and jumping to the ground.
Mary motioned for him to stay while she went around the corner to grab the goose, the Matron just walking in from the yard as she rounded the corner. Her heart spead up and she reached into the scraps barrel, and removed the goose, grabbing the remainders of a sweet loaf of bread that had only a few slices out of it.
She returned to Robin, with a proud grin. "A goose and a partial loaf of bread."

"Bread as well? I am spoilt, Mary. Though perhaps it should go to someone more needy."
He led her back the way he had come. Not stopping until they were deep in the forest, the trees thick and tall around them. It was a warm day, but the bright sun could barely penetrate the thick canopy, so it remained cool so deep in Sherwood. "There, this is much better. I do like being back home again." He winked at her with a grin.
"Now that the outlaw has stolen you away, what might you like to do with your freedom, Mary?"

"But starving heroes and their gang can't help people if they are starving as well." Mary explained, following after Robin with the food in her arms.
"I wouldn't know what to do with freedom. I should like to scream and shout for joy at this brief time of freedom I should have. How long is the limited time for an outlaw kidnap?" Margaret, grinned boldly, tugging a peice of hair behind her ear.

"You sound like Marian," He laughed. "My men and I certainly do not starve, Mary. But I could not allow myself to enjoy such a feast, knowing so many others go hungry."
"Hmm, I had not thought on that. How long do you wish to remain kidnapped?"
As he spoke, it occurred to Robin that in trying to make a nice gesture and cheer the poor girl up, he had rather made a mess of things. She was quite obviously taken with him, and here we was leading her into the forest, alone.
If only Marian were here to tell him of his foolishness.

Mary smirked, watching Robin as they walked. I do not know." She thought for a moment. "The Matron has money, we could hold me hostage.. An intresting concept of myself holding me hostage... Nonetheless, for ransom. Then the money could go to the poor. And the bread can go to the poor, but really let the goose be yours."
Mary starred up at the sky as they strolled along. "How often do you take young ladies hostage?"

"I hardly need a hostage to take money from nobles, Mary. Nor do I have any desire to start robbing them in their houses. That is not the way my men and I do things."
As they walked, Robin reached down idly and picked up a stick, breaking off pieces and dropping them every now and again. "This is a first for me, Mary. Consider yourself privileged. I would not kidnap just any young girl, you know. Only the ones who wound my ego so."

"Point taken. It was just an idea." Mary laughed, watching as he broke the stick. "I am certain there are few who enjoy wounding as I do. Unless this Marion, does it as well as I do."
"I will have to be gone more than a day. It will look more believeable. And draw attention away from anything Rowan Hood may do. Make me look like a victim."

Robin smiled when Mary spoke of Marian. It was always the same when she was mentioned, he could not keep the content look off his face, not since she had joined him in the forest.
"She is very good at it, Mary. She puts me in my place like no one else can. Even more so than you. She finds me a fool, most of the time. And more often than not she tells me to grow up."
He stopped walking, looking at her. "You probably don't need to hear such things. I go on like a lovesick fool." He laughed. "I could not take you back to camp right away, Mary. It would not be fair on the lads. For all they know you are an untrustworthy noble. We will have to think of something else tonight."

Mary had to admit to herself, she was fiercly jealous of the Marion, she was lucky. "If I was you, I would sound like a lovesick fool. This Marion seems like a woman next to my own heart. The putting you in your place."
Mary nodded when he said that they would have to do something with her for the night. "I have never stayed in the forest before, but I understand. They would mistrust me, even if you trusted me. Only because they do not know me. I did however meet your friend, Will. And I am not sure, how he thinks of me."
