height , 6 ft 2 inches
tattoos and piercings , the remnants of a wolf tattoo on his right wrist
distinguishing features , guy has unmistakable jet black hair which falls attractively around his angular, strong featured face. he has stunning, piercing blue eyes, framed by thick black lashes, and usually wears a thin coating of stubble on his chin. he is strong and sturdily built, however his height gives the impression that he's thinner, and less toned, than he really is. on his right wrist he has a scar which doesn't quite hide the remains of what was a wolf tattoo, however although it is the most impressive, it is by no means the only scar he has. his body shows a record of all the times he hasn't quite come out of a fight unscathed.
personal style , leather, leather and more leather. guy's wardrobe consists of miles of the stuff. he has an item of leather clothing for every occasion, including marriage and war. it is VERY rare to see him in anything which isn't made of a dead cow although he sometimes wears horse hide on very special occasions.

overall personality , Guy is evil...well, he tries to be. He learnt at a young age that the world was never fair to him. It was then he decided to get his own back on the world and all the people in it.
He covets power and has spent all his life trying to become the best. That’s why it infuriates him when others get exactly what they want just through strutting around and acting the fool. He’s a very serious man, and rarely finds time to laugh or smile.
However, he does have a soft side, buried deep deep down, out of harm’s way. Those who manage to touch this, experience love and loyalty so passionate it’s astounding, however, once disillusioned, Guy’s trust and friendship is lost forever. He’s a typical Scorpio.

history , Guy was born to Sir Roger and Lady Ghislaine of Gisborne, a reasonably wealthy family who owned a large rural estate in Nottinghamshire, England. He was a happy and courteous child, never setting a foot wrong or crying too loud late at night. When he was still young, his sister was born, but still this didn’t cause any problems. The two children never really agreed on much, but with the love of their parents to support them, they got on with things.
However, when Guy was only fourteen, his parents were killed in a raging fire at their home, leaving the two children all alone in the world. They were taken in by Vaisey, the man appointed by the crown to take over the Gisborne estate, but still the Gisborne children weren’t happy, especially as the rift between them grew wider and wider as they took different views over their parents’ deaths. While the girl moved on with her life, Guy became bitter and twisted, swearing his revenge on the world for rewarding his good temper and loyalty to his parents with such cruel tragedy.
It wasn’t a rench when the Vaisey decided to split the children up. Guy didn’t care if he never saw his sister again. Vaisey had decided it was time that the fourteen year old girl be married off to a wealthy land owner. Guy, however, saw very little of the money that was exchanged for his sister. Vaisey, in return for keeping Guy on, began using Guy in his quest for control over more and more of Nottinghamshire. Guy knew what he was being asked to do was wrong, but he also knew that he could be discarded at the drop of a hat. Vaisey kept Guy; he paid for his food, his housing, his clothes, and Guy knew he wouldn't be able to make it on his own. So, begrudgingly, he did what he was told, wishing for the day he'd be free. It wasn't long before the seventeen year old Guy came face to face with an old, childhood rival, Robin Hood, the son of the Lord of Locksley. The immediate dislike he had felt for him, so many years before, only became more intense as the familiarity grew. Robin had everything that Guy wanted.
When the King took up arms in the Holy Land, Robin and a number of other young Lords followed him there, loyally. Guy, unsurprisingly, stayed behind. Vaisey had an understanding with Prince John that, in the King's absence, and with no other authority to stop him, Vaisey would take over as Sheriff of Nottingham. Of course, he needed his young protégé by his side, to do his dirty work.
When the King had been gone for years, and Prince John was reaching breaking point in his yearning to reign, Guy was appointed a "special mission". It was his job to go to the Holy Land and kill Richard. Of course, Guy was mortified at the prospect; however, with the threat of being cast out looming, he didn't have much choice. Anyway, he'd been promised an estate, Locksley, if he only did as he was told. So, wanting only to get it over with, Guy set out for Jerusalem.
It was nearly eight months before he returned and there wasn't a warm welcome awaiting him. He'd failed; stopped by his old enemy Robin. Still, as the Sheriff agreed, there was no time to waste with lamenting the past. Guy had injured Robin badly and it was common knowledge that the young noble was on his way home to England at that very moment. Without further ado, the Sheriff set Guy up as custodian of Locksley Manor and spread the news that Guy had recovered from a near fatal illness which had kept him confined to his bed.
When Robin did eventually return, he tried to take back what was his. However, in the process of "doing the right thing", he made himself Nottingham's Number One Most Wanted outlaw. The Sheriff played on Guy's dislike for Hood, and made Guy head of the campaign to rid Nottingham of outlaws, namely, Hood and his gang.
The whole while, Guy had been growing more and more attached to the beautiful, opinionated daughter of the old Sheriff; Lady Marian. Her wisdom and kindness couldn't fail to warm a part of his heart he thought had died many years before. He was desperate to make her his wife, and when he heard the King was returning to England, Marian finally consented to the wedding. However, Guy discovered it was a trick deployed by the Sheriff to catch those Lords who were unloyal to him. Still, he kept quiet and came so close to making Marian his wife. Unsurprisingly though, Robin and Much disrupted the ceremony and Guy was left at the alter with a ring shaped bruise on his jaw. Although in serving the Sheriff he was sinking further and further into despair and evil, he believed and still believes that through Marian, he can become a good man again.
When his pride was sufficiently healed, he went straight back to working for the Sheriff with even more bitterness than before, if that was possible. He began drinking quite heavily, spending more and more time in the Trip to Jerusalem Inn. One night, he was lucky enough to notice none other than Allan A Dale. Slipping away quietly, he returned within a few minutes with reinforcements. Surprisingly, it wasn't hard to convince Allan to spy on Robin for him. He caved in a lot sooner than Guy expected.
Someone who didn't cave in quite so readily was Lady Marian. It had been very hard for him to accept the loss of her at the alter, and when she refused to comply with his orders, in a fit of rage he set fire to Knighton Hall; her home, and took her and her father to the castle to keep them under house arrrest. Almost as soon as he'd done it, he felt the stab of remorse. He's been spending all his free time ever since trying to make it up to her as best he can.

Guy didn't think he'd even been so nervous before in his life. But then again, he'd never been on a proper dinner date before. He'd never had to go through all the emotional turmoil and chaos which he'd discovered came before dinner with a beautiful young lady, and after the stressful day he'd had, he wasn't sure if he'd really want to go through it again. Still, every time he pictured Marian's face, he knew she was worth it.
Now, walking up through the corridors and stairwells of the Nautilis, a large bunch of white and lilac freesia tucked lovingly into the crook of his arm, he could feel his heart hammering somewhere in the region of his Adam's apple. He gulped as if that would make it better. He'd been up since six that morning, worrying. He knew it was usually the woman who worried about what to wear for dinner, but he couldn't help himself fretting. He'd tried on three different outfits, and even borrowed a suit from his room mate, but nothing looked right. As it was, he'd opted for black trousers and jacket, a stiff black shirt and shiny, black leather shoes. It felt odd, not to be wearing his heavy leather jacket, but he didn't feel like he needed it tonight. He felt comfortable around her. He didn't need his thick, black safety mechanism around Marian.
Taking a deep breath, he made his way into the restaurant and gave the waiter his name. As he was lead to his table, he looked around for Marian. The waiter had informed him that she wasn't there yet, but that wasn't really surprising. He was half an hour early after all. He sat down at the small, round table tucked into the corner and ordered a bottle of champagne and an ice bucket. He wasn't intending to open it until she arrived, but it was best to be prepared. As the waiter returned with the order, Guy lay the flowers down on the table so she'd see them when she walked in, and resigned himself to wait for her.
