tattoos and piercings , None in plain view, (a tattoo does appear later).
distinguishing features , It is often very difficult to tell the colour of Robin's eyes, they appear to change frequently from blue, to grey and even green. When his hair is longer, it forms a full fringe, sweeping sideways across his forehead, with slight curls forming at the nape of his neck. He is never clean shaven, always sporting some kind of beard, or 'scruff'. As Matilda says it is neither a full beard, nor clean shaven.
He has a large scar on his side, caused by being stabbed in the Holy Land by Sir Guy of Gisbourn during a supposed Saracen attack on the King.
personal style , Robin's most distinguishing item of clothing is his hoodie, which he is very rarely seen without. It is greenish brown in colour, and the hood is very large. He often wears a thin scarf, wrapped around his neck.
He is rarely caught without his recurve bow and quiver of arrows, and both the bow and the arrows held within his quiver are very distinctive in style, and instantly recognisable as his own. His saracen sword is also of a very distinctive design.

fears , Losing Marian, England falling under the rule of Prince John, losing the love of the people.
overall personality ,
At first glance, Robin can seem to be nothing more than cocky, brash, and arrogant. Born into a position of wealth and power, in his early life not much that he desired would have been denied.
However, there is more to this noble turned outlaw than meets the eye. His experiences in the Holy Land changed the way he saw the world, and opened his eyes to the fact that all is not so black and white as he had once imagined. He went to war seeking glory, but what he found was bloodshed and death, for which he could see no reason. Because of this, Robin now abhors killing and bloodshed, no longer seeing how it can solve or achieve anything.
Robin has a great belief in principles, and sticking to those values he considers to be most important. This also ties into his belief in King Richard, for whilst he does not approve of the war, he believes strongly that King Richard will provide relief for an England under siege, and is a man with his own worthy principles.
Robin has a deep and unyielding love for his gang, for England and its people, and for Marian. As the leader of the outlaws, he also feels a strong sense of responsibility for all that occurs, both for the gang, but also for the results of their actions/inactions.
One thing the Holy Land could not rob him of is his love of action, danger and a certain amount of mischief. With his famous cheeky grin, his response to being pointed out the more sensible path has been known to be "Where would be the fun in that?"

history ,
Raised as a noble, the only heir of the Lord and Lady of Locksley, Robin was brought up with the knowledge that he would one day become the Lord of Locksley himself.
Whilst still a boy, Robin was introduced to Marian, the only daughter of Edward of Knighton, the then Sheriff of Nottingham. Betrothed from a young age, the two were very close, and as they grew and changed, so did their bond.
Robin's mother died when he was very young, but his father has taught him to believe that she is watching his actions, and guiding him from the stars. Robin's father was apparently killed in a fire when Robin was still a boy.
Lacking further guidance from his father, in a desperate attempt to prove himself, Robin joined the King's fight in the Holy Land, leaving behind his betrothed and their coming marriage.
Upon returning to England five years later, Robin and Much, his ever faithful manservant turned friend, find Nottingham, and Robin's own home of Locksley, to be changed in ways that are not at all comforting. His home is occupied by another, there is a new sheriff, and his beloved is apparently none too pleased to see him.
In the small exchange of words between himself and Sir Guy in their first meeting, Robin gains an almost instant dislike for the other man. His first meeting with the new sheriff is coloured by his contempt for someone who would let Nottingham fall into the state in which he now finds it.
The sheriff speaks of rumours of Robin's weakness, and the need for him to dispel these rumours by not backing out of the task of overseeing the hanging of four men, three of whom are from Locksley.
In being unable to stand by and see innocent men killed, Robin seals his fate, displaying incredible skill with a bow and saving the men from the noose. Here, he also sees a glimpse of the Marian he once knew, when she saves him from the arrow of a castle guard.
Fleeing into the forest with Much and those he saved, Robin has his first encounter with John Little, and his small group of outlaws. It takes the act of Robin giving himself up to save John Little's wife to convince the other outlaw's of his character, and that he is not just the rich noble, 'Lavender Boy', that they had initially thought.
Robin soon learns that whilst he has been away, Marian has been noticed by Gisbourn, and the man's intentions are clear. In her need to keep her father safe, Marian agrees to marry Gisbourn once the King returns to England, and Robin is devestated by this turn of events.
It is soon after this that Robin discovers a shocking truth. That it was Gisbourn, and not a Saracen who stabbed him and left him for dead in an assassination attempt on the King.
It is Marian's 'death', caused by being stabbed by Gisbourn, that finally allows Robin to admit his love for Marian, out loud.
With the apparent return of King Richard, the wedding of Guy and Marian draws closer. The thought of Marian becoming Lady Gisbourn is almost enough to cause Robin to walk away from it all, but with some well timed assistance from Much, the 'King' is identified as an imposter, Robin arrives on horseback, providing Marian a route away from Guy, and the Sheriff's latest plot is once again foiled by the outlaws.
Not to mention, Robin finally gets the kiss he has been waiting for...

roleplay sample ,
not necessarily your best, probably not even my average...
Robin sighed, slumping against the tree behind him, letting it take his weight. He had little energy to do much else. Too many thoughts were racing through his mind, so fast that he could barely keep track of them all. Marian had kissed him! Or had he kissed Marian? If he had not acted, would she have done so?
Shaking his head in frustration, Robin let that thought go. Such things did not matter. They had kissed. Their relationship had changed, once again. Things had happened between them that could not be undone. Now that they had both finally acknowledged their feelings for one another, perhaps they could...
Gisbourne. Robin's thoughts interrupted themselves with this one word. A name which caused feelings of hatred to wash over him in such a way that no other name could possibly acheive. What would he do? Marian had walked out on their wedding. Humiliated him. Robin could not imagine Guy letting the incident go unchallenged. If only she could join him in the forest! He could not protect her like this. Not whilst she remained in such a vulnerable position, where Guy could so easily reach her. If only she were not so stubborn!
