Luke was not pleased to be visiting Locksley at all for it was no longer his home, and merely the empty place of bad memories. It was still thriving he noticed, which was good he guessed, but for him, it was just devoid of everyone who truly mattered. There were people he recognised clearly from his childhood and adolescence, but to think that his family were all gone now was just horrendous. He no longer had a family home to go and relax in, and no back yard to play in whilst his mother watched over him and his big brother. Perhaps he was being too sentimental, but as someone who was so close to his family, he couldn’t stop thinking of his loss every single day. The feeling only intensified when he was in such close proximity where he had been so happy for those years before the sheriff had to ruin everything.
Actually, in all honesty, the day was nice to most people’s standards. The sky was blue with clouds scattered across it and it was pleasantly warm. As a result, he had left his sleeves rolled up and left his cloak at home, revealing rather muscular arms and a slim yet defined body underneath a peasant’s rough garment. However, despite how pleasant it really was, he had no love for the day. The only reason why he had visited was in the hope to see someone who he could spend a bit of time with since Nottingham was very short of friends for him but no one had even thought of speaking to him there. Perhaps it was just his look really that no one wanted to talk, but then he knew as well that people would certainly be coming. After all, what better day for an outlaw to give out food than a lovely sunny one?
Hopefully it would either be Will or Robin as well who came to Locksley, or perhaps even a combination of all of them. Will was by no means someone who would be able to say indefinitely that he could be an outlaw, but he also knew that he was his biggest reason why he would not ever be accepted. After all, he still babied him after sixteen years and he very much doubted that he would be willing to let his little baby brother fight with a sword in dingy castles against well trained and battle hardened soldiers. As for Robin, well, he couldn’t see him letting him fight without Will’s consent. Still he could hope. Sighing once more, Luke sat down on a bench, gazing out into the distance, hoping that someone interesting would come along sooner rather than later

Will heard the knock echo throughout the house, a signal to him, that nobody was in. He sighed, pushing the bag of food higher over his shoulder as it slipped, muscles tensed to keep the bag in place as its weight fought against him. With a sigh, Will turned away from this house and moved into the next. It was his and Allan's turn to feed the poor today, but he didn't complain. Will loved this, loved the look he saw as each peasant recieved food for their family, and this glorious blazing heat did little to dampen his spirits.
This sudden heat wave had caused the earth to dry and crack, meaning that food was sparse. The only thing was, something wasn't quite right. As Will had set off with Allan, he'd seemed a little nervous, and once they'd gotten to the village, he'd disapeared! Odd, but Will supposed that he was feeding the other side.
Sighing, Will knocked on the next door, a light grin on his face as the peasant opened the door suspciously and gasped in delight. Will pulled the bag down from his shoulder, and handed over a handfull of fresh food. He nodded to her whispered thanks then turned away as she shut the door. His sky blue eyes glanced out to the distance, just looking, prehaps unconciously for Allan, but there was never very much to look at here. Villagers children ran, screaming with happiness as they played, their mothers talking quietly near-by them. Wills eyes caught a familiar figure, resting on a bench.
Will shook his head. Luke. Why did he hang about so long, he shouldn't, this place was too dangerous. Will understood that sometimes he were being too protective, but how could he not be, he'd lost the rest of his family, and his little brother, the one he loved so much, wanted to join an outlaws gang. It wasn't going to happen, he couldn't afford to loose his last family member. Will ambled over, dropping the bag of food down against the bench and sitting down beside Luke, he spoke nothing for a moment. If somebody walked by, they would certainly notice the simularities between these brothers. Their slight yet muscular figures, their darkened hair, their faces. Yes, they looked the same, but they weren't. Sighing audiably, Will turned to look at his brother with a resigned look.
"Why do you pester Robin so? You know i cannot allow you to join the outlaws."

Glancing down at the bag of food dropped, he knew at was that Will was beside him without even having to look as he was subjected to silence for a moment. It was a common trait of his, just sitting beside him without even thinking to say a word or glance at him with a smile. However, despite it looking like perhaps that was a sign that he held no affection for him, he knew otherwise. It was just the way things were at times, and he accepted that entirely. After all, at other times it was so obvious that Will loved him and he didn’t even have to think of doubting it for a second at all. Will could just be... strange at times.
A noticeable frown etched on his features as he heard what he said to him, and shook his head. Why did Will have to do it? Why couldn’t he just say hello or something like that before he had to bring u that particular point of conversation? It would inevitably come of course, as that was something he frequently spoke of being as it was the most important thing to him, but then they could have had other conversations as well. Despite them not seeing each other very often, he did still love his brother to bits being as he was the only member of his family left alive and also his best friend.
‘’Hello to you as well’’ Luke replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes skywards at his brother’s greeting. Sarcasm wasn’t usually his style, but he felt the need to be that way at that exact point in time. Regardless, it gave him time at the very least to decide what he would be saying in response to the question that he really did not want to answer whatsoever. However, he doubted that he had very much choice at all.
Sighing, he shrugged casually even if the subject matter was very serious indeed. It was just that he had no idea on how to answer it without annoying Will, and being as their meetings were very few and far between, he did not want to ruin this one at all. ‘’You know why I must pester Robin and you know why I must become an outlaw as well. The sheriff needs to pay and you know I can help you out. I’m not a stupid little child anymore Will, and I am more than capable of becoming an outlaw. You should just allow me to carry on with it now and be done with it. It would do you absolutely no harm to allow me to fight, as I am sure I would come to no real danger’’ he debated, forgetting that he hoped he would not aggravate Will by his words. However, when a subject that he was so passionate about was brought up like the one that was, he felt that he could not help himself by stating his point clearly, no matter what the consequences inevitably were.

Will sighed in fustration. He knew he shouldn't get worked up but he couldn't help it. If Luke would just listen for once, and take a back seat. He didn't understand. Will wanted him to have a normal life, as normal as possible, the one that Will had wanted for himself once upon a time. As his brother spoke, he chuckled once, refusing to allow himself to get worked up. After all, he only saw his brother so often, and to meet with him with angry words would not seem very pleasent. Sometimes, Will wondered if he were too harsh on Luke, but his brother had to learn. He loved him, heck he always had, Luke was the most precious being in his life, but sometimes Will just wanted him to understand.
"You may not be a child anymore, Luke, but you are still young." He said gently. 16 was too young to thrust yourself into the midst of horror, battle and danger. "You have to understand, that if you joined it would never work, no matter how helpful you would be. I would focus on you all the time, if you were okay, i would fight Robin to give you the safest jobs, be at the very back of the group all the time, you would become fustrated, and lash out, you have much anger still, and then i would become fustrated with everybody. Plans wouldn't work becuase i would just want you to be safe all the time, when being an outlaw puts you in constant danger, and i would fall out with many of the other outlaws over you, Luke. You may shake your head, not believe me, but i would, becuase believe it or not i love you Luke, and i can't help prtecting you, no matter how old you become." Will finnished his speach, he had become wound up during the middle, but he'd softened toward the end, and now, he reached over and ruffled his brother hair playfully, knowing it would irritate him just that little bit. He smiled, if a lttle sadly, and sighed again, leaning back against the wood of the bench and glancing down at the village.

“Yeah, but...’’ Luke began, attempting a counter argument to his speech, but he knew he had none. Will was the type to do that type of thing, as he knew that his weakness was doing rash things which people would not agree with when he felt that one of the people he loved were in danger. He’d heard from one of the gang about what he had planned to do to the sheriff when their father had been run through, and whilst the thought occurred to him as well, he knew that he would never be mentally strong enough to go ahead with it like that. That was why he knew that Will would do whatever it took to keep him safe, being as he was the only blood relation that he had left in the world, and once he was gone, that would be it.
Sighing, he didn’t know what to do anymore. All of Will’s arguments were right of course, but he still hated the fact that he would baby him until he was thirty years old or some daft age like that when really he should have been able to fight and do things for himself. It had always been like that though even when they were little boys. He was always the one who would make sure to check everything was safe before Luke could even get within ten yards of it. Of course, he loved having the protection from Will and in fact he loved him so much more because of it, but he did wish that he would just let him repay the favour at times, let him have his back so that no harm would ever come to him in the end. That was why he wanted to become an outlaw so fervently, and all of the reasons usually revolved around his big brother. “How about we come to a compromise then, eh? If you let me become an outlaw, then I will promise that I will behave myself until I am eighteen when I can start going on proper jobs. Before that, I could just clean, cook and stuff like that. I wouldn’t be in any danger then would I?’’ he suggested, even if it did sort of contradict his brother’s argument that he would not settle for rubbishy jobs. As Will ruffled his hair, an irritated grin flitted into his face. "You do know that my hair hasn’t been washed in like a week, right?’’
