distinguishing features , Charlotte has wild brown curly locks that can distinguish her from a croud easily by themself. Her deep chocolate brown eyes are lovely and fascinating. Her pale complection and slender form make her appear weak and fragile, though she has the devotion and spirit that could easily match any mans. Charlotte has a beautifully arranged face that is typically covered with layers of dirt. She has a narrow face and her thick hair overpowers it just a bit.
personal style , Charlotte's family could not afford very intricate or varying clothing. Mostly she wore a simple brown dress that is poorly made and tied in the back. Her other common outfits were a white shirt with puffy sleeves and a dark brown corset over it laced in the front. This was often matched with either a navy or tan skirt.
Now with a bit more money she wears clothing that has bit more of a style to it, but is still simple as she likes to keep things. One of her favorite dresses is a dark green one with a square neckline and is overlapping white on the skirt. Another is her simple dull red dress that has an intricate design circling the neckline.

In a kitchen she can cook up tasty meals from the most boring and repeatitive meats. Char is very good at speaking to others and can always find the right thing to say. Charlotte is very adept to hard labor and devotion. She is also very much a good helping hand to anyone who needs it.

overall personality ,
Charlotte has always has always had dedication towards everything she does and never leaves anything unfinished. She is very needy of attention and needs recognition for the work she does. In this need of attention she can sometimes greatly annoy people.
Char is extremely impatient with people that do not understand something or are slow workers and learners. She is quick to catch on to things, including human emotions. She has a pleasant way of speaking, though can have a harsh tongue, and can give good, well thought out guidance to others.
Envy and pride are perhaps two things that dominantly mark the down side of her personality. She thinks very highly of herself, though she is not really of any importance in the grand scheme of things. Charlotte is extremely envious of those who have more than her or can do something she can't. She always wants to be the best at whatever she does.

history , Charlotte Rose Bennett was born into a life of poverty. Her parents were struggling to keep enough food on the table for for the both of them, let alone another child which was excepted. Her father, Richard, worked extremely hard up until her birth to raise his crops and care for his wife. Most of Richard's crops were fine until half of the field was flooded out by an unwanted heavy rain. In an attempt to secure the families well-being he began to steal small amounts of food that he could manage to. Elaine, Char's mother, was not aware of this theft at the time.
Elaine died while giving birth to her first and only daughter. Though thinking about remarriage, Richard decided to raise her himself not being able to support another member of the family. Financially and time-wise it was difficult to care for Charlotte. He struggled to keep up with her needs and his. Often times, she would be taken care of by the neighbor children during their free time, though they seemed to a bit rough with Charlotte he had no other option.
As a girl Charlotte was responsible for every chore that was necessary. She had to learn to sew, clean, cook, garden, wash clothes properly, and help her father in the fields when he needed it. This taught her hard work ethic and a dedication that she would need. Without the attention of of a mother she was in constand need of approval and recognition.
As soon as she turned the mere age of 16, her father arranged for a financially stable marriage for her as soon as the opportunity arose. Charlotte was resentful of an arranged marriage but did not dare contradict her fathers wishes.
Charlotte was immediately married to a 23 year old man named Peter who worked as a miller. His business was to make flour from grain, something he had gained much skill in. Charlotte, at first, was very resistant to anything he had to offer her until she finally began to settle down into her new life as a housewife. It was a new kind of lifestyle having a much better items and not having nearly as much work to do. She is now working as a housewife rather than the daughter who tries to do it all.

Charlotte Bennett let out a small squeal as she felt the needle prick her finger. She stared at her unfinished work rather annoyed at how slowly the garment was progressing. Her finger started to spit out tiny droplets of the crimson blood as she pushed the fabric off her and carefully set the needle down. Studying the blood she almost felt light-headed.
Grabbing her skirt she wiped it onto it lightly and watched as tiny droplets began to form again. Charlotte grunted in frustration as she grabbed a stray piece of cloth to wrap lightly around her finger so she did not have to worry about spreading the vlood everywhere.
Upon hearing something outside her window she scurried off to see what the noise was. Peering out she saw Peter speaking with a man. She watched uneasily as he made wide hand movements that she had come to know signalled his extreme annoyance. The men now seemed to be arguing with eachother, something Peter was relentless in. She stepped back quickly ashamed for spying the way she did, but yet still feeling curious as to what they had been arguing about.
She returned to her sewing, hard at work and tried with extra care to avoid pricking her finger again. When she heard the door open her quickly moving hands abruptly stopped as she looked up to see a frustrated Peter.
"What is wrong?" Charlotte asked pretending not to have noticed his outburst at the other man.
They say that our choices define us. But what about the choices that are made because one is given no options? Does this forced choice still define me?
