OVERALL PERSONALITY[/b]
[/li][li]Marian is a very generous person. She rarely holds back and often tries to give all that she can to help anyone, despite the consequences to herself. She is often feeding the poor by night, despite them not knowing.
[/li][li]She is also very loyal to those she cares for. She will hardly ever do anything to jeopardise her loyalty, even if it looks like she is.
[/li][li]She tries her best to see the good in people. Although she knows there is not much good in some, such as the Sheriff, she can see the good in others, such as Guy. When she can see this, she does try to pull the good to the forefront.
[/li][li]Marian is a very determined young woman, and will usually fight to get what she wants. When it comes to her determination to look after her father, she will not stop at trying to turn her charms on Guy.
[/li][li]She is very loving, but does not give her love easily. Truly, her heart belongs to Robin, however she did find herself coming to care deeply for Guy. She cares for many people and will try to show it as often as she can.
[/li][li]Also, she is very easily offended when people seem to underestimate her just because she is a woman, and loves to prove them wrong. Many people still do not know it is a woman who is the Nightwatchman which can occasionally anger her as it seems like many feel that a woman would be unable to do such a thing. She is very strong when it comes to equality, and has quite the feminist quality.
[/li][li]However, she has hardened over the years, especially since Prince John began to start his own reign whilst the King is away. She has seen many people suffer and although it upsets her, she tries to stay strong and focused.
[/li][li]Marian is as much of an adventurer as Robin, and often craves the danger a life like his and her secret identity gets to live. She can not be seen to, because of her place in society and her need to appear loyal to the Sheriff, but that does not stop her dreaming of a free life where she can be less stifled.
[/li][li]Marian is a very independent woman, and acts like she does not need the protection or the help. However, deep down, she enjoys being looked after at times, as long as she is not made to feel inferior during those moments.
[/li][li]She is also very strongly opinionated, although this trait has calmed slightly in recent months. If she views something as cruel or barbaric, she rarely keeps those thoughts contained, which often leads her into trouble.
HISTORY[/b]
Marian grew up with mostly only her father, her mother dying when Marian was a young age. She lived in the castle with her father whilst he was the Sheriff, but also spent time in the surrounding villages. This was one of the ways she met Robin, and despite their personalities being slightly different, they soon found themselves becoming good friends. This friendship gradually grew into love, and they were engaged when Marian turned 15. However, he soon left to fight for King Richard and her heart was broken.
As Prince John took to the throne, and the Sheriff took her father's job, she began to try and find ways to help those who were badly treated by becoming the Nightwatchman. When Robin returned, she kept up her identity, but was not easily won over by Robin. Slowly, Guy showed more and more interest in her and to protect her father, she had to choice but to accept his feelings and they were soon engaged. However, when it came to the wedding, she could not go through with it because of her love of Robin, and left Guy at the altar. This has left Guy angry with her, and she is now under house arrest with her father.

`WHY ASK HIM WHEN YOU LOVE ME ?!
[/font]Marian sat at the small window once more, her eyes taking in everything they could. Being under house arrest made her appreciate even more what surrounded her, the places she could no longer go unless she managed to sneak past her guards, as well as the general castle guards. She managed it occasionally, but the risk was sometimes to great. The risk to her father, more than herself. It was almost painfully cruel that she could see the forest in the far off distance. Her heart ached as she thought of Robin who would still be out there, free to help people when he could.
Yet locked away from her.
It ached, far more than when he left to go to the Holy Land. When he left all those years ago, he was unbelievably far away. Now, he was so close but she could not see nor touch him. She only got fleeting moments with him, moments where she revelled in his closeness to get her through her time locked away in the dark castle.
She glanced at her father, asleep on the slightly comfortable bed. He was suffering more than she, his health gradually deteriorating. She had to be strong, had to obey the Sheriff as much as she could, because she could not risk her father being treated in any ill way. And she knew that if she was punished, he would be too. Watching her being punished would be a punishment enough for him. But she wanted to get him out of here, even if their home was burnt down. She had to get him somewhere far more comfortable and warmer, because yes they had heat but the surroundings and the stone walls still made it seem exceptionally cold.
“I'll get us out of here, father. I promise,” she whispered silently at his sleeping form. She knew she would do what she could.
Her eyes once more went to the window and towards the distant trees. She felt a weak smile on her face as she closed her eyes for a moment, losing herself in memories of Robin. They would help her get through this, help her determination.
“Don't you dare give up on me, Robin,” she said allowed once more, surprising herself as her eyes began to fill up. She quickly brushed them away, standing up.
Well she had to start trying to get out of here at some point.
