Allan carefully rounded a crowded corner, his hood covering his face as he swiftly moved among the few merchants' carts.
He had silently left the camp, hopefully unnoticed by anyone, to meet Gisborne at the tavern just like he had become used to in the last weeks.
The sheriff's right hand wanted to know what Robin's next move would be and he, with a few half sentences and a good dose of fantasy, had tried to oblige... without actually giving away much of the real plan.
Satisfied with such outcome of the brief encounter, and with a few more coins inside his pocket, he was now headed back to the camp... just when he noticed a well known figure coming right towards his direction.
It was Anya and she was walking side by side with another girl he had sometimes seen with her.
He wasn't sure if Anya had seen him, but he perfectly knew that at this point hiding would raise suspects... and letting her bump into him would create unwanted surprise and questions; so he decided to do the first move, approaching the girls himself.
"Well well," he gave them a cheeky grin as he joined the couple of friends "look who we have here today."

Anabelle and Anya watched as the boy scurried off into the market. Anabelle though it rather funny that he had rushed off after being looked at. He must not have been used to such attention. Anabelle never really got that kind of attention form anybody, apart from Timothy that is, and that strange old man that stared at all young girls that past him in the market. If she did get that sort of attention she would get really big-headed.
"yes, my father wants nothing more to see me happy and walking down the aisle. He doesn't want to be a burden. He probably would be bringing round suitors every day if all his friends weren't old men or married already."
Her father was one who wanted nothing more than to see Anabelle happy and settled down. Anabelle always tried to help him with things and walk him places as she was worried about him, but he got really annoyed and wanted to do everything himself even though he could really sue the help.
Anabelle's bag slipped of her shoulder and fell to the ground, the small man that she had just mocked came running over and picked it up. He attempted to run away with it but Anabelle had already grabbed the other end. He carried on trying to snatch it off her. She finally got it back of him and gave him a horrible shameful stare.
"Poor man, having to steal to stay alive. He should be put out of his misery"
Anabelle began to pick up the pace of her walk to quickly get away from the rotton old man. She tightly grasped her bag as she walked through the marketplace watching out for anybody who looked suspicious.
"I'm sure you would make a wonderful wife Anya, for someone. It can't be that hard, as long as you make sure you are not going to be treated like a slave, but i know you would never allow that."
Anabelle smiled and thought about it for a while and realised that in a relationship Anya would probably be the one who made the husband do all the cooking, cleaning and what-not. Anabelle was about to answer Anyas question about her father when she saw Allan A Dale standing just ahead of them.
"Yes, we are just taking a stroll through the market. May I ask you why you have come here today? Maybe to buy a nice new dress?"

Anyas brow furrowed as she tried to remember the other villagers in the village she had been apart of only a few weeks before. She was sure there where other eligible men beside Timothy that where suitable for Annabelle but it there where they had completely slipped her mind. The face of Ronald the local drunk who was now in his 50s which amazed every one who knew him who thought he would have died before he reached 30 let alone 50. Anya shuddered at the thought of Anabelle or her self marrying old Ronald and baring him children, it was almost enough to make one sick.
“How’s Ron…”
Her sentence was cut short as an elderly man snatched at Anabelle’s bag. At first Anya thought he was helping Annie by passing her the bag from the ground but it soon became apparent that he had no intention of giving her bag back. Her disgusted look turned to angry confusion as she stopped at Anabelle’s and opened her mouth to let out a sting of ugly words for the thief. If it wasn’t her friend he was stealing from Anya might have not even noticed nor cared about his actions but it was Anabelle’s bag.
“Annie you are far too nice! He was going to steal from you even though you have little more than him. If it where my bag he would not have gotten off so lightly.”
Anya glared back still slightly confused at what had just happened. Turning back to beginning walking towards the town centre hopping to continue there conversation on men and marriage. She began to back track trying to remember where there conversation had ended but was distracted once again by the arrival of Allan. Anya grinned at Anabelle’s unexpected humour but her eyes lingered on Allan’s face there was a hint of something off about his face but she couldn’t make out what, it was probably nothing.
“Why are you in town?” Anya asked interested in why Allan was alone and not with Will and Djaq.

Allan noticed Anya's eyes studying him for a brief moment, making him feel uncomfortable with guilt.
“Why are you in town?”
He shifted his weight from one leg to the other, a hand in his trousers' pocket, as he tried to mask his conflicted feelings with a nonchalant shrug of the shoulders.
"Actually I was searching for you," [/i]he promptly lied, hoping to sound convincing enough... after all he had a lot of practice on the matter. "I saw you leaving the camp and a boy at the village told me you had taken this way." He offered a faint smile, his mind frantically working on a plausible excuse as the two pair of curious eyes stared at him.

“Annie you are far too nice! He was going to steal from you even though you have little more than him. If it where my bag he would not have gotten off so lightly.”
Anabelle did not mind so much about her bag being snatched like that as, after all, she had got it back. She felt ever so sorry for him beacuse he was so useless that he could not even succeed in stealing a young vulnerable girls bag.
"I care not. He was not successful and I am perfectly well. I will be more careful next time."
Anabelle was old enough to look after herself and did not want to be treated like a little girl. She was perfectly capable, and she certainly knew how to handle being assaulted, but she did not like to talk to strangers and prefered not to make a scene out of things. She carried on walking and smiled as if nothing had happened. She waited as Allan answered, probably lying.
"Actually I was searching for you......I saw you leaving the camp and a boy at the village told me you had taken this way.."
Anabelle could not quite tell whether or not he was making this up. She had never really thought of Allan as a very trustworthy person. He had that look about him, the sort that would make you wary about them.
"Oh, Anya....you are in trouble? Something has gone wrong?"

"I saw you leaving the camp and a boy at the village told me you had taken this way."
Anya crossed her arms around her tightly as a gust of icy wind blew at them. The weather was getting worse and if it was to keep going the way it was they would soon be drenched in spring showers. Did Robin need them or perhaps Will and Djaq had disappeared again. Anya was sure there was something going on between them though no one said anything or hinted at it. If Djaq wasn't so guarded and quick Anya might have tried to trick it out of her but Djaq was far to smart for that.
"Miss me all ready?" Anya teased with a grin her hand flying to her hood as the wind threatened to blow it down. "Does Robin need us?"
It felt odd saying that especially in front of Anabelle, she wasn't sure what the feeling was it wasn't embarrassment but something related. She dismissed the feeling not wanting to give herself a head ache by thinking about it to much.
"Oh, Anya....you are in trouble? Something has gone wrong?"
Confused and defensive Anya turned to look at Anabelle, giving up on her hood and letting the wind blow it down. What had she done maybe something that would anger Robin? She couldn't think of any reason she would be in trouble she hadn't done anything...not at that moment.
"Not that I know of?"

"Does Robin need us?"
I lightly shrug my shoulders, swiftly moving my gaze around to avoid eye contact with Anya. I can be an expert when it comes to lying, but this doesn't mean I feel good about it.
"Not that I'm aware of." I briefly explain, feeling the other girl's eyes on me... almost if she's trying to study my character, something I'm not really comfortable with.
"So can't a guy follow a girl around just to know what she's up to?" I pipe up with my trademark grin, "Mind you, for all I knew I could have surprised you with your secret lover or something." I can't help but chuckle as Anya's expression turns into a scowl.

Anabelle watched Allan with a slight smile on her face and she was thinking that Allan was lying but was not really bothered by his lying. She was ready to say something like 'yes, of course Allan' or maybe 'Allan, I totally believe you'. Instead of saying anything she decided to stay silent and just looked at Anya to see if she believed him, surely she did not.
"Anya, I am not quite sure he is speaking the whole truth"
Anabelle whispered in Anya's ear, trying to do so as inconspicuous as possible. She stood back and folded her arms. She was bored of standing around with Allan and his lies so she decided to go and see Luke, who she had planned to meet soon anyway, he should be at the Inn, or somewhere around the marketplace.
"I am actually going to be leaving, I need to meet somebody, If you don't mind."

"Mind you, for all I knew I could have surprised you with your secret lover or something." Anya raised an eye brow then grimaced. If only there was such a person she had to sneak off to see possibly in the moonlight, very romantic but no Anya was a wild untamed young woman with little chance of attracting a sane suitor. While other girls Anyas age where marrying and beginning to settle down and start a family Anya was running amuck in a forest getting her self in to trouble and putting her self in harms way.
“Come now the town square is far to open for meeting ones Lover. No, no I’ll be meeting him in a far more secluded spot later,” she said for to convincingly that she almost convinced herself. Talk like this was not very lady like and if they where still part of society she might have held her tongue. “You off meeting tavern maids again?”
"I am actually going to be leaving, I need to meet somebody, If you don't mind."
Leaving? Anya quickly turned to stair at Anabelle who was preparing to leave. She hadn’t mentioned she was meeting some one earlier maybe she her self was off to meet a secret lover. Anya wouldn’t be surprised if she was Anabelle always seemed like she was keeping something from her underneath her composed porcelain face.
“I don’t mind but you could have mentioned earlier I only came in to town because you wanted to look at fabrics.”

“You off meeting tavern maids again?”
Allan coudln't help but chuckle at such remark, showing his most innocent smile.
"Touché." He joked, "No, really, I just wanted to follow you around. You know I always find amusement in annoying you to no end." He grinned.
Anya rolled her eyes, apparently she agreed with him on such point.
Not that he could have blamed her, of course.
"So?" He continued as Anabelle announced she was leaving to meet Luke Scarlett "Shall the two of us continue on our own or your secret lover would be jealous?" He teased, his hands on his hips.

"Shall the two of us continue on our own or your secret lover would be jealous"
Anya waved her hand through the air nonchalantly still watching after Anabelle a little angry at her sudden departure. It had been so long since the to girls had spent any time together and now that they did Anabelle just wandered off. So much for friends, Anya thought melodramatically turning to face Allan the reninants of her scowl still on her face.
"Secret lover" Anya said temporarily forgetting what they had been talking about"Ohh, hmm a little jealousy never hurt anyone."
A little jealousy never hurt any one, that was a lie people killed when filled with jealousy. Country's torn them selves apart for it, that was happening to them, England that very second. Anya regretted her last statement.
"Shall we go for a drink in the Inn? We all know how much you love it there."

"Shall we go for a drink in the Inn? We all know how much you love it there."
Allan flashed her a sarcastic smile; as much as he kept annoying the girl, he always enjoyed her company. She was the only one always ready to keep up with his cheeky remarks at the camp, and it usually turned into a playful verbal fight... ended only when the others started to loudly protest at their childish behavior.
"Why not," he suggestively raised both eyebrows "after all jealousy never hurts, right? You might be useful, you know all the ladies are basically dying for me." He shot her the grin that usually irritated Anya the most.

"after all jealousy never hurts, right? You might be useful, you know all the ladies are basically dying for me."
Anya rolled her eyes and led the way to The Jerusalem Inn that was situated on the corner of a near by street. The Inn had seen better days, the name that was painted above the entrance way was flacking and the wooden beams holding up the door way look week and ready to give way. There where a few horses tethered out side waiting to be taken in to the small stables round the back by the old stable handler Ronald Wolsey. The horses looked as though thy had been there quite some time and Ronald was no doubt sat in side drunk out of his mind as usual.
"I'm sure they are, I fear for your safety" she said sarcastically pushing the heavy door open that led to the dark interior of the inn.
There where a few older men in a corner with pips and grave faces discussing farming tools and a few more people dotted about. Eloise the bar maid plodded around collecting glass after glass polishing them up before pouting them away and starting again. Anya smirked at the sight of her and sat down at an old rickety table in the middle of the large room. Eloise's eyes settled on Allen for a moment in interest but Anya thought there was something off about the look in her face. Maybe Allan had broken her heart? Anya wouldn't be surprised.
"Well this is cheerful" she said observing the gloomy atmosphere.

"I'm sure they are, I fear for your safety"
Allan snickered at Anya's comment while he followed her towards their new destination.
"Indeed you should. Or better, you should fear for yours now. You know, jealousy could drive them crazy enough to come over and fight with you over me."
He almost skipped the last couple of steps to enter first, you never knew who you could come across in a place like that, but Anya surprised him by carelessly opening the door herself.
He had to actually stop for a second to smile at her, even though she was turned with her back at him.
One thing he liked about this girl was her uncommon courage. At the camp, where she and Djaq were the only women, it was easy to treat them as fellow outlaws; but out in the streets... well, for a moment, even he -who was universally known to lack manners- was for a moment ready to open the door for her. Just like a lady must have been treated.
Reality abruptly crushed said thoughts as, entering the room, he noticed the bar maid, Eloise, glancing at him with a somehow curious expression. She was the one who usually told him when Guy was waiting for him in the back room; and so he slightly shook his head in her direction, trying not to be noticed by Anya.
The interior of the inn was rather dark and, in a corner, there were a few men already drunk.
"Well this is cheerful"
He couldn't blame Anya for the sarcastic observation.
"Well, I guess it will be our duty to light up the atmosphere then." He chuckled taking out of his pocket the famous three cups he used for his tricks. "Wanna give it a try?"

“If you mean Eloise,” Anya said glancing over at the bar maid who was still looking at the two of them with confused eyes,” I could take her im sure.”
Anya looked over Eloise and came to the conclusion that she could better her with ease. Eloise was tall with long legs and had no doubt picked up a few good tactics on taking care of her self from being around the unsavoury folk what the inn was so famous for. Anya though small and slightly malnourished looking was quick and knew how to use the little strength she had. Where others might try and use there own assets as far as possible Anya’s first instinct was to grab the first thing that came to hand and hit the opponent sharply on the had as many times as was needed.
“She doesn’t look to happy though, what have you done this time or is that a question better left unanswered?”
Anya rested her elbows on the table, her over sized sleeve falling down to show her pale wrist that she has tied a thin green ribbon round in an attempt to be the least bit feminine it hadn’t really worked. Being a woman in the forest was hard and Anya felt her femininity slipping away which was no good thing. Her hair was always a little matted and there was always dirt on her face, it baffled her how it got there. Today however she was quite clean after having a thorough wash at Annabelle’s. Anya had felt positively wild in comparison to Anabelle; she would have to try harder.
“We all know I will never win,” Anya sighed wearily “But the men over there aren’t the smartest looking besides we have no money to by something to drink.”
Anya, having never spent very much time in the bar of an inn, wasn’t quite sure what it was the ladies drank. Was she expected to drink the same as the men or where ladies meant to quietly sit and observe.
