Marian had decided to go for a walk, get away from the gang for a while. She had to have some time to herself or she knew the gang would drive her insane. Not long after she got away from camp, she was sure she could hear Robin talking. Frowning, she followed the sound see to see him getting ready to attack someone she was sure she had met before.
"Robin!"

Just as he took a step closer to the man in front of him, Robin heard his name being called.
Startled, he spun in the direction of the voice, fight forgotten momentarily. That had sounded like Marian. Where on earth had she come from?

Rigoletto saw Robin avoid his attack but, barely & he had to stumble over him self to do so, he did not strike when Robin was down he would make this a win in a noble way so that it was clear he had beat Robin fairly, in this fight. He waited for Robin to get to his feet watching him, he waited for his attack & when he moved to steep forward Rigoletto moved to strike & had to stop his move in air, to not kill Robin as he had turned away form the fight, the edge of his sword had stopped to rested against Robin’s neck just above his shoulder, Robin was lucky did he knew just how lucky he had been just now.
He knew Robin could feel the cool mettle of the sword & he waited to see if Robin would speak or if he would be better off just removing his sword here shortly. He then saw what distracted Robin, well this was interesting & he did not know where this would leave them.

Robin froze at the feel of the blade against his neck. This was even worse than ending up on his back. At least then he had not truly been beaten. This time it was all his own foolish fault. He wanted to curse, both at Marian, and himself. You never, ever allow yourself to be distracted in battle. He had been told that time and again, had told it to men under him more than once. And yet at one word from Marian, he ignored it.
He turned to face his attacker, sword held loosely at his side, letting him make the next move. He could not even begin to think how he might look at Marian.

Rigoletto could see the stiffen in Robin, well he figured his point had been made he easily removed his blade from where it rested, as he saw Robin turn to face him with his weapon held at his side he appeared to be waiting for his attack & yet he held for now there was another around, not that it change this match but, Robin appeared to hold something for her to have been so easy to distracted by her simply words so Rigoletto waited to see if Robin would want to even continue.

Marian looked between the two of them, before stepping forward, wanting to check that Robin was alright. Though she had a feeling he would not appreciate her concerns at this moment, so she did not move too close. After all, she saw from when she yelled his name that she would distract him.
"Robin, come on," she said quickly, wanting nothing more than for him to step away so he would not be hurt.

Robin glanced briefly at Marian when she stepped closer to them, before his gaze fell back on the other man. He could hardly believe what had just happened. What he had just let happen. He was not meant to lose so easily. He was supposed to be better than that.
Right now he wouldn't mind if the ground decided to open beneath him and swallow him whole. It was somewhat preferable to what he was experiencing at the moment.

Rigoletto saw Robin, was distracted once more & so he spoke as if to provoke the fight once more or part there paths again “You are free to leave this fight Robin but, should you then you will lose” He knew that would likely strike a never with Robin so he would have to be ready to defended, should it come to it.

Robin scowled, taking a step towards him, his anger clear "I would lose? So says the coward who could not even finish what he started."
His pride had taken a blow, and so he was lashing out. He wanted nothing more than to take the words spoken to him and tell this arrogant fool exactly what he could do with them.

Rigoletto heard Robin’s words “Is that so & had your so called coward not stopped you would not be breathing now but, lying at my feet” His eyes flickered “How much a fool you are to be thankful, I did not just kill you” He could feel his temper flicker, he would wait a moment before he moved to do a swing for him before countering into swipe for his stomach, that is should he not acted.

He wanted nothing more than to attack him again, to take his sword and his anger and do to this man exactly what had been done to him.
"A bit defensive, aren't you? Does that hit a bit close to home?" Robin stepped even closer into his personal space, taunting him. "Coward."

Rigoletto heard his words he knew he was trying to bait him to force him to lose his cool but, Rigoleto spoke turning Robin’s own words on him. “The only coward I see is the one before me, you are weak because you allow your wounded pride to be so easily wounded & not to what you should be thankful for & you are a fool for you, are to blind to see that you can not win this” He knew he was taunting Robin greatly & he was ready should he strike at him.

Robin felt his temper flaring at the other man's words. He despised being called weak, and not only was he being told he was weak, he was being told he was foolish to think he could win a fight.
Stepping back and raising his sword, Robin pointed it straight at him. He had almost forgotten Marian's presence, in his rage. "You should be mindful of the words you choose. You know nothing of what you speak." His voice was quiet and menacing.

Marian felt the arrows she always carried with her these days heavy against her back, the bow weighing down her hands. She may not be as fantastic a shot as Robin, but she could wound his opponent if she had to.
What was the point in her being here if she could not help him? Placing an arrow into the bow, she sat it facing the ground, ready to use if she had to.
"Robin..."

Robin barely noticed her speaking, his attention stuck in the one place. He had been so close to walking away, knowing that as much as he loathed it, he had been defeated.
That was until he had been called weak. He could not, would not, let that go. The words stung, reminding him of all the things that he felt he was doing wrong, of all the things he should have done in the past but did not do.
